Memorandum of Understanding with the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI)

The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), a leading U.S.-based trade association representing manufacturers of HVACR and water heating equipment.
The agreement aims for establishing technical cooperation and constructive working relations between the two institutions across several key areas, including:
- Collaborative research and studies in HVACR technologies regarding regional economic analyses, business and industry structure, and trade policies.
- Capacity building and professional training programs through promoting awareness and occupational licensing and certification in the RAC sector
- Exchange of technical information, expertise, and insights to enhance collective knowledge, stimulate innovation, and promote continuous improvement
- Expert visits and joint project teams
This strategic partnership underscores the shared vision of RSS and AHRI in promoting sustainable, efficient, and environmentally responsible HVACR solutions, while supporting global climate goals and technological advancement.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations, who expressed strong enthusiasm about the collaboration’s potential to generate impactful research, improve technical standards, and enhance institutional knowledge exchange across borders.
The MOU was signed by RSS Vice President Eng. Rafat Assi and AHRI MENA Managing Director Eng. Nabil Shahin.
This partnership reaffirms RSS’s ongoing efforts to align Jordan’s scientific and technical capacities with global best practices and industry leadership.
