NERC conducted a detailed energy audit for Queen Alia International Airport from 2010-2011. The study covered some buildings at the airport in which NERC studied the electric system, the lighting system, the cooling system, and the pumping system. A set of energy saving measures were proposed to reduce energy consumption at these buildings and this resulted in 15% reduction in energy consumption if these measures are implemented.
